Easy like Sunday Mornings

With later church we have been trying to make the most of our Sunday mornings. We've been making dutch babies and it's so easy. If they weren't easy I probably wouldn't be on board with it. Caroline helps dump everything into the blender and covers her ears while it's all blending together because it is "so very noisy"...according to her.

I don't think there's anything special other than it's done in a cast iron skillet. Cast iron=the best and don't let anyone talk you out of that--even yourself ;).

Dutch Baby Pancake
(Cravings By: Chrissy Teigen)

1 cup all purpose flour
4 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons butter melted, divided + more...because butter
Maple syrup
Powdered sugar for "fairy dusting"

Directions according to me ha!

Preheat the over to 475 (hot!)

Combine flour, eggs, milk, salt, and 2 tablespoons of melted butter in a blender until smoooooth

In a cast iron skillet heat the other 2 tablespoons of butter until is foamy and you hear it sizzling.

Add the batter into the skillet and slide the skillet into the oven for 17-18 minutes. Sometimes 20. Just wait until it's pretty, golden, and puffy.

Remove from the oven and add a few squares of butter. Let it melt. And then sprinkle with fairy dust (powdered sugar) and then maple syrup.

So foamy and pretty!

Puff!

Butter.

Fairy dusted and ready to go

So easy and delicious!
